RL360 JOINS FORCES WITH DISTINGUISHED GENTLEMEN’S CHARITY RIDE

RL360 is sponsoring the growing Isle of Man’s Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, a quirky, visually stunning event raising money for two amazing causes – prostate cancer research and men’s mental health.

Our Isle of Man riders are joining others from across the world to ride dapper for men’s health. It’s just a little different from the motorcycles and racing we’re used to at the RL360 Superstock TT!

On Sunday September 29th 2019, tens of thousands of distinguished gentlefolk in hundreds of cities worldwide donned their cravats, press their tweed and sit astride their classic and vintage styled motorcycles to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men’s mental health on behalf of the ride’s charity partner, the Movember Foundation.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was founded in Sydney, Australia by Mark Hawwa. It was inspired by a photo of Mad Men’s Don Draper, sitting atop a classic bike and wearing his finest suit. Mark decided a themed ride would be a great way to combat the often negative stereotype of motorcyclists, while connecting niche global motorcycle communities together. It is a worldwide event, with rides being held in cities across the planet. It unites riders who enjoy wearing vintage clothing and riding classic and vintage style motorcycles.

The Isle of Man DGR is in its second year, having been a huge success in 2018. This year it will set off from the TT Grandstand at 11am on Sunday (29 September) before heading first for a stop in Castletown Square and then on to Foraging Vintners in Port Erin afterwards.

All money raised from this year’s DGR will go towards prostate cancer and mental health charities.
